Austrian Airlines Appoint Jaan Albrecht as New CEO
4. ockober 2011 11:51 | BusinessIn its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of Austrian Airlines appointed Jaan Albrecht as the airline’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from 1 November 2011. This means the Executive Board of Austrian Airlines will consist of three members in future; in addition to Jaan Albrecht, the Executive Board team will continue to include Andreas Bierwirth and Peter Malanik.
Stefan H. Lauer, Chair of the Supervisory Board of Austrian Airlines: „In Jaan Albrecht, we are pleased to have won a top manager for Austrian Airlines from the Champions League of our industry. As CEO of the Star Alliance, he made a decisive contribution to shaping the successful development of the world’s largest airline alliance. With his valuable and wide-ranging experience, he will strengthen our Executive Board team and give an important stimulus to the ongoing development of Austrian Airlines.“
