Tarmac delay rules have led to more flight cancellations, GAO says
The General Accounting Office says that airlines are cancelling more flights since the U.S. Department of Transportation adopted penalties for tarmac delays of more than three hours.
The tradeoff from the new rule has been fewer long delays, but more cancellations. Said the GAO in a report released Wednesday.
