TSA debuts new scanning software at DFW Airport

On Friday, the Transportation Security Administration debuted new software for the airport’s body scanners that eliminates “passenger-specific” images, instead showing security screeners a generic, computer-generated outline of a person.


The fourteen scanners at DFW have been updated with the new software and about 40 other airports across the country that use advanced-imaging technology machines will also get the new software over the next few months.
