Total orders for the Comac C919
19. april 2011 21:40 | Manufacturersby Joe G.
The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (Comac) is designing an aircraft to compete with the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 series. Comac applied for a Chinese type certificate in October, 2010, and plan for the aircraft to enter service in 2016.
Comac has received 100 orders from 6 different sources. Some reports suggest that 45 of those 100 orders are optional. Ryanair has recently suggested that they are having discussions with Comac about purchasing the C919 as they are receiving their last 737-800s in 2012.
