Airline Fare Prices – Yearly Average Since 1995
5. april 2011 22:32 | Commercial Aviationby Joe G.
Below is an interesting graph which shows the average price for an airline ticket from 1995 to 2010. While most of us have the feeling that ticket prices are constantly rising, the graph shows that they have only increased by about 15 percent.
15 percent increase is not much considering that fuel prices have more than tripled since 1995 and airlines are operating under much stricter rules than in the 1990’s. When calculated in 1995 dollar value, the average fare price has decreased about 20 percent in the last 15 years.
