Delta window shopping for new jets
Delta told its employees Thursday it had sent inquiries to "several" aircraft makers seeking proposals for buying 100 to 200 jets and options for up to 200 more.
Delta, especially after acquiring Northwest, has a very old fleet including DC-9s average 34 years-old and plenty of other not quite so old Boeing and Airbus jets.
