MONTREAL — Investigators were trying to determine Wednesday why a helicopter carrying four people, including a Hydro-Quebec team, crashed in a remote area of the province.
As family and friends grieved, the Transportation Safety Board began its investigation into the circumstances surrounding Tuesday's crash.
Provincial police identified the victims as pilot Nicolas Turcotte, 28, of St-Hyacinthe; and passengers Benoit Gamache, 31, of Marieville; Jacques Brousseau, 33, of St-Lin; and Yvon Cyr, 45, of Trois-Rivieres.
Cyr was a Hydro employee, the state-owned utility confirmed through a spokesperson. He was a lineman working in the telecommunications division.
