APFA President Argues For Re-Regulation

Air Transport Association President James May’s recent editorial arguing that re-regulation is not the answer to the airline industry’s woes is in many ways its own worst enemy.


Mr. May rightfully acknowledges that “U.S. airlines lost $58 billion between 2001 and 2009. These abstract financial results have had very human consequences, as U.S. passenger airlines shed more than 150,000 jobs in the past 10 years.”
