Senate Passes Wall Street Reform Bill

The Senate passed a sweeping Wall Street regulation bill July 15 that would limit speculation in commodities, including oil. The Restoring American Financial Stability Act passed the Senate 60-39, and President Barack Obama is expected to sign it. The bill includes provisions introduced by Sen. 


Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.) that limit commodity speculation except for end users of the commodity. The airline industry welcomed this provision.
