Lockheed L-188 Electra

The Lockheed L-188 Electra was the first, and by some report, the only large commercial turbo-prop aircraft that was built in the United States. Lockheed built 170 L-188 between 1957 and 1961. The Lockheed P-3 Orion was based on the L-188 and is still used by various militaries today.

Tupolev Tu-160

The Tu-160 is a supersonic bomber manufactured by the Soviet Union by the Russian aerospace and the defense company, Tupolev. It was manufactured between 1980 and 1992, and again after 2000. Currently there are 16 aircrafts in service with the Russian Air Force.

Sud Aviation Caravelle

Sud Aviation SE 210 Caravelle was built by Sud Aviation in France and was the first short to medium range airliner. The development for the aircraft started in the late 1940s by many of the top design firms in France. But, none of the firm had financial capability to finish the project. The aircraft became fairly popular and was sold throughout Europe, South and North America, and Asia.
