The crowd on Selfridge Airshow in Harrison, Michigan, was shocked when a stunt act went wrong. Todd Green, who has for years performed a stunt where he wing walks, fell to his death. He was trying to stand on the wing and pull himself to a helicopter that was flying above when the incident happened.
Two person were lucky to escape alive after they made emergency landing on apartment house in Manchester, England, today. The pilot landed tried to land the plane between two homes, but eventually hit one of the houses. The residents escaped without any injuries. The photos show how damaged the aircraft and the homes are.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating a wing tip clipping that occurred between an Airbus A380 (F-HPJD) and a Bombardier CRJ-700 (N641CA) at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York last night.
It was fortunate that the experienced pilot, Chesley Sullenberger was flying on January 15 2009 the Airbus 320, flight 1549, for US Airways. The airplane was scheduled to fly from La Guardia airport in New York to Charlotte/Douglas International Airport in North Carolina.
