The Bell Boeing V-22 Program, a strategic alliance between The Boeing Company and Bell Helicopter – Textron, has received a $34 million order from the U.S. Air Force for three new CV-22 training devices and an upgrade to an existing device. 

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. announced today an agreement to sell an S-92® and two S-76 C ™ helicopters to the Milestone Aviation Group, a global finance company that purchases and leases helicopters to high quality helicopter operators. Sikorsky, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX), announced the sale at the ongoing Paris Air Show.

The X3’s speed milestone was reached on May 12 during stable, level flight – with the hybrid demonstrator maintaining a true airspeed of 232 kts. (430 km./hr.) for several minutes. This occurred during only the third mission after a scheduled upgrade that integrated the X3’s definitive gearboxes, enabling it to operate at full power.

AIR MEDICAL TRANSPORT CONFERENCE, FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA. (October 11, 2010) – Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, today announced the sale of 16 206L4 LongRanger IV helicopters to Air Medical Group Holdings (AMGH), the largest independent provider of Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) in the world. The aircraft will be operated by AMGH subsidiary Air Evac Lifeteam with deliveries in 2012 and 2013.

AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica Company, is pleased to announce that the first two GrandNew light twin helicopters for France and the Principality of Monaco have been delivered to their respective owners.

Five people died after a government helicopter carrying senior civil servants crashed in a remote area of jungle in northern Thailand in bad weather, officials said on Wednesday.
