The Bell Boeing V-22 Program, a strategic alliance between The Boeing Company and Bell Helicopter – Textron, has received a $34 million order from the U.S. Air Force for three new CV-22 training devices and an upgrade to an existing device.
Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. announced today an agreement to sell an S-92® and two S-76 C ™ helicopters to the Milestone Aviation Group, a global finance company that purchases and leases helicopters to high quality helicopter operators. Sikorsky, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX), announced the sale at the ongoing Paris Air Show.
The X3’s speed milestone was reached on May 12 during stable, level flight – with the hybrid demonstrator maintaining a true airspeed of 232 kts. (430 km./hr.) for several minutes.
